This is all I need to know:
“In an interview, Whitman said she was registered as a Republican before coming to California, but declined to say where the public record might be found.

‘Go find it,’ she said.”

“Go find it”? Really? Is that the kind of intransigence and dripping contempt Californians can expect from a Gov. Whitman in the face of legitimate questions of transparency, accountability and integrity?

The SS Whitless is taking on water...

What is remarkable about this episode is that they KNEW this was coming and their handling of it is akin to rank amateurs bordering on incompetent.
At some point, Meg is going to wonder what the $10Million has bought her.
It certainly hasn't built a team that has prepared her for this campaign.
unfortunately for her, there are many more episodes like this to come.

Can you spell CAMPAIGN SHAKEUP?

Well, I'm not a great fan of Meg Whitman, who hasn't improved one iota since I wrote a long piece about her in February, but she is not a scofflaw.

It's not against the law not to register to vote. It's not against the law not to vote. And it's not against the law to lie about it all.

Well it's good to know the major Sacramento newspaper has at least one investigative reporter left in the ranks. Whether you agree or disagree with the political implications, you have to admire this type of investigative journalism. Excellent commentary as well!
